"The Abominable Bride" is a Christmas special episode occuring between Series 3 and Series 4. The plot follow both real world and a reemaginated version of London in 19th century inside Sherlock' mind palace. It first aired 1st, january 2016.

  • Sherlock Holmes' quote while fighting Moriarty in his mind, "You have a magnificent brain, Moriarty. I admire it. I concede it may be even be the equal of my own", is a reference to a similar quote from the 1939 movie The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes featuring Basile Rathbone, "You've a magnificent brain, Moriarty.
