Mark Gatiss (born 17 October 1966) is a British actor and scenarist. He played various Sherlock Holmes characters, and co-created with Steven Moffat the British television series Sherlock, also being the writer of the episodes “The Great Game”, “The Hounds of Baskerville”, and “The Empty Hearse”.
