The '''General Shan''' is the main antagonist of the episode "[[The Blind Banker]]" (August, 2010) of the English TV series ''[[Sherlock]]''. She was the leader of the international gang of smugglers [[Black Lotus Gang]].


Shan and his gang were at one time helped by criminal [[Jim Moriarty]] to establish themselves in [[London]], using a chinese-themed circus as a cover for leaving [[China]]. However, she soon realised that one of her gang had stolen a jade bar, and so she commissioned [[Zhi Zhu|Zhi "The Spider" Zhu]] in intend of punish the potential culprits, [[Eddie Van Coon]] and [[Brian Lukis]]. However, she was still unable to find her treasure, and was forced to use interference of detective consultant [[Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock)|Sherlock Holmes]] in the hope that he will find the bar in their place. After mistakenly kidnapping his companion [[John Watson (Sherlock)|John Watson]] in his place with the intention of confiscating her clip, Shan was definitely thwarted by the detective but managed to escape. Thus, Shan was murdered by Moriarty to guarantee his safety.
