The Great Mouse Detective is a 1986 animated mystery film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. The film is based on Eve Titus's children's book series Basil of Baker Street and follows the adventures of a mouse detective named Basil of Baker Street who lives in the same Victorian era London as Sherlock Holmes.

The story begins when a toy-maker is kidnapped by a villainous peg-legged bat named Fidget.
