Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is a 2011 American film directed by Guy Ritchie from a screenplay by Kieran and Michele Mulroney, produced by Warner Bros., Village Roadshow Pictures, Silver Pictures, Wigram Productions and Lin Pictures, and distributed by Warner Bros.. It's the second installment of Sherlock Holmes film series. The story is set in the late 19th century, during the industrial revolution and the backdrop of a looming war between major European powers, and follows Sherlock Holmes who becomes entangled in a complex web of conspiracies orchestrated by Professor Moriarty, who aims to profit from the chaos of the impending conflict.
