Elementary is an american TV series. The show follows the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr. Joan Watson, as they solve various crimes in New York City.
Unlike traditional adaptations of Sherlock Holmes, Elementary is set in present-day America, with Sherlock Holmes portrayed as a recovering drug addict who has relocated to New York City after a rehabilitation period in London. Dr. Joan Watson, a former surgeon, becomes his sober companion, appointed by Sherlock's father to ensure his continued sobriety.
