Alan Rickman is a british actor. He played Sherlock Holmes in the 1976 play Sherlock Holmes played at Birmingham.

  • He is the first Harry Potter actor who played the character of Sherlock Holmes, followed by David Thewlis who will portray him in 2024 in the upcoming TV series Sherlock & Daughter. They also both shared a scene in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004.
