Tom Cat is a character of the animated series Tom and Jerry created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. He was one of the titular characters of the American film Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes.
He is depicted as a grey and white cat who is constantly trying to catch and eat Jerry, a clever and mischievous mouse. Tom is known for his clever schemes and determination to catch Jerry, but his plans often backfire and result in humorous and slapstick situations. Despite their never-ending rivalry, Tom and Jerry occasionally team up to work together when faced with a common enemy.
