The Woman in Green is a 1945 american movie. It is the eleventh installment in the Sherlock Holmes film series starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. John H. Watson.

In this movie, Holmes investigates a series of strange murders that all share a chilling commonality: the victims are found with their right forefingers severed. The investigation leads Holmes and Watson to a secret society known as "The Good Comrades," which is involved in a blackmail scheme. While looking into the case, Holmes encounters a beautiful and enigmatic woman named Lydia Marlowe, also known as "The Woman in Green." She becomes a central figure in the mystery, capturing Holmes' attention and curiosity. As the plot unravels, Holmes must determine the connection between the victims, the secret society, and the mysterious woman.
