Sherlock Hound is a Japanese animated television series, aired in 1984. It was loosely based on the Sherlock Holmes detective stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but with a twist – the characters were portrayed as anthropomorphic dogs. The show follows the adventures of Sherlock Hound, a brilliant and charismatic canine detective, as he solves mysteries and outwits criminals in Victorian-era London.

Sherlock Hound was produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, who is known for his work on other popular animated films such as My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away.
