Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper is a 2009 video game developed by Frogwares. It is part of the long-running series of Sherlock Holmes games by the same developer.
The game is set in London in 1888, during the time of the infamous Jack the Ripper murders. Players take on the role of Sherlock Holmes, the world-renowned detective, as he investigates the gruesome murders attributed to the mysterious serial killer. The main objective of the game is to unravel the identity of Jack the Ripper and put an end to his reign of terror. To do so, players need to gather clues, interview suspects, and analyze crime scenes using their deductive skills and forensic knowledge.
Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper offers a blend of exploration, puzzle-solving, and crime-solving gameplay. Players are required to visit various iconic locations in Victorian-era London, including Whitechapel, the East End district where most of the murders took place.
