Henry Cavill is a british actor. He played Sherlock Holmes in Enola Holmes (2020), Enola Holmes 2 and Enola Holmes 3 (2025, upcoming).

Biography[edit]

Henry Cavill was born on May 5, 1983, in Saint Helier, Jersey, a British Crown dependency. He is a British actor known for his roles in film and television. Please note that my information might not be up-to-date, and there may have been developments in Henry Cavill's life since then.

Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was born the fourth of five boys. He was raised on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. His mother, Marianne, worked as a secretary in a bank, and his father, Colin, worked as a stockbroker. Henry discovered his passion for acting at a young age and participated in school plays.

Henry Cavill's acting career began in the early 2000s. One of his earliest notable roles was in the film The Count of Monte Cristo (2002). He gained widespread recognition when he was cast as Charles Brandon in the television series The Tudors (2007–2010). This role helped establish him as a talented actor in the industry.

However, it was his portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) that catapulted him to international stardom. He first appeared as Superman in Man of Steel (2013), followed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017).

In addition to his superhero roles, Cavill has been involved in other projects. He starred in the action spy film The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015), and he portrayed Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher (2019–present), based on the popular book series and video games.
