Anthony Horowitz (born 1955) is a British author and screenwriter known for his works in the mystery and young adult genres. Horowitz is best known for his Alex Rider series, which follows the adventures of a teenage spy. Horowitz has also written numerous other popular series and standalone novels, including the Diamond Brothers series, the Power of Five series, and the Sherlock Holmes novel The House of Silk. In addition to his novels, he has also worked on various television series, including Foyle's War and Midsomer Murders.

Horowitz has been praised for his gripping plots, well-developed characters, and skillful blending of suspense and humor. He has received several awards for his writing, including the British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year.
