The Baker Street Boys is a British television series that aired in 1983 on BBC1. It is based particularly on the group of street urchins known as the Baker Street Irregulars. These young boys (and a girl) serve as Holmes’ unofficial eyes and ears on the streets of Victorian London, assisting him in solving cases. The series follows their adventures as they tackle mysteries, often finding themselves in dangerous situations. Although Sherlock Holmes himself is a presence in the series, he is mostly in the background, and the focus remains on the children and their detective work. Dr. Watson appears more frequently, providing guidance and sometimes getting involved in their escapades.
