Sherlock Hound is the eponymous main character of 1984 animated TV series Sherlock Hound. He is depicted as a beagle who lives in a steam-powered version of Victorian-era London, and is often assisted by his faithful companions, Dr. John Watson (who is also depicted as an anthropomorphic dog) and Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard. Together, they solve a variety of mysteries and outwit numerous adversaries.
