Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon is a 1942 American film directed by John Rawlins from a screenplay by W. Scott Darling and Edward T. Lowe Jr., and distributed by Universal Pictures. It is the fourth installment in the Sherlock Holmes film series. The film follows Sherlock Holmes as he protects Swiss inventor Franz Tobel, whose revolutionary bomb-sight has attracted the attention of the Nazis; Holmes must prevent Tobel from being captured while uncovering a German espionage plot involving several British scientists.
